Meet The Founder
Welcome to The Braiding Palace.
Hello, and welcome.
My name is Dr. Liliane Badawu, and I am the proud founder of The Braiding Palace, a place where beauty, culture, excellence, and community come together.
Although I am a nurse by profession and have owned and operated an assisted living business, my passion for serving people has always extended far beyond healthcare. I also hold a Ph.D. in Christian Counseling, which has deepened my belief that caring for people involves nurturing not only their physical well-being but also their emotional and spiritual well-being.
Growing up in Cameroon, I was captivated by the art of braiding. What inspired me most was what happened around the braiding chair. Women gathered in a circle, laughing, encouraging one another, sharing stories, wisdom, prayers, and their hearts. They left not only with beautiful hairstyles but also feeling lighter, encouraged, renewed, and confident.
That experience became the inspiration behind The Braiding Palace. Our vision was to recreate that atmosphere—a place where every client receives exceptional braiding services while also experiencing peace, kindness, genuine hospitality, and a sense of belonging.
At The Braiding Palace, we believe that every woman who walks through our doors is a queen. Her hair is her crown, and it is our privilege to treat that crown with care, honor, excellence, and grace.
The Braiding Palace is more than a salon. It is a celebration of African heritage, artistry, sisterhood, and community. Personally, I am a child of God, a daughter, a wife, a mother, a sister, a nurse, an entrepreneur, and above all, a servant. These roles have shaped my commitment to serving others with compassion, humility, integrity, and excellence.
Our mission is not simply to braid hair. Our mission is to create an experience where every client feels seen, heard, appreciated, and empowered. As a member of our team, you are helping create moments that restore confidence, celebrate beauty, honor culture, and remind every client that she is worthy of exceptional care.
